Because the only speech they recognize is their own. They love to debate! But they hate logic, reason, and common sense!!! That's why liberal organizations like the ACLU, use the courts instead of public forums to argue their stand!!!

The Constitution doesn't say you have to like what others say; but it does limit what can be said and you have to at least grant others the right to their own opinions and beliefs.
First off, conservatives say a lot of dumb stuff too, so beware of calling the kettle 'black'. Your freedom of speech allows you to say and believe whatever you want. The liberals have the same freedom. As long as it does not get violent or otherwise breaks the law, you can keep butting heads with everybody you think is wrong.
As a liberal (more or less) I do not expect anyone to agree with me 100% and I welcome reasoned debate on all topics. However, I also disagree with other liberals on some topics and can find them just as boring as those who want to ban same-sex marriages and to be allowed to destroy National Parks.
Neither side is 100% right or 100% wrong. We have to keep level heads and work for the best interests of America.

you don't have to clap. and actually the constitution only guarantees freedom to speak without government interference. Anyone, liberal or conservative, can speak out their opinion, and you have the freedom to criticize that opinion. I think we should all point out the fallacies in arguments coming from both conservatives and liberals. But noticed how most of our discourse has become just throwing insults at each other, and not debates about ideas.
Conservatives do the same thing, you know. Not all, but some do.

Oh come on. Be serious. It is not just liberals. You could be talking about conservatives too. Both sides are guilty of that. I have seen some outrageous postings from people on both sides. Each seems to think if those are postings on our side it is freedom of speech but if the other guy does it they are not telling the truth and are violating the freedom of speech rights.
It is like the pot calling the kettle black.

One of the biggest problems with our form of government is that some people take it way to literally. Freedom of speech for a rational person means that they can express their opinions without fear of government persecution. Freedom of speech to others means that they can say whatever they WANT TO SAY and no one can argue, disagree or refute it no matter how hurtful, false or pointedly as*inine.
Justice for justice's sake is pointless yet we have thousands of laws that are designed to defend not people but justice. I always thought that the freedom of the press thing was the primrose path that leads to hel*. The idea is wonderful but unfortunately the "press" has its own agendas and the "truth" is not included. The media, as well as private citizens, need to be held accountable for known falsehoods they deliberately spread to cause harm or to make a profit. This type of speech has nothing to do with "freedom of speech"; it has to do with the corruption of man. This corruption is the very thing that the constitution was originally designed to overcome.
Next time you, or whoever reads this, is spewing venom or spreading lies for the sake of your own personal goals give some thought to what kind of a person you have become. I know that this will mean nothing to our enemies but it should mean something to us Americans.

Most liberals don't think that you're supposed to smile and clap your hands when they speak. As a matter of fact, if they knew you, they'd probably assume you wouldn't, as you exhibit a complete inability to use logic and reason when you make a statement like "most liberals think I'm supposed to smile and clap my hands when they speak."

You shouldn't let it bother you. You have a right to say whatever you want to "confront their fallacies", but it doesn't do any good, so don't waste your breath on them.

Like the typical con coward you appear confused.
LIBERALS are teh ones that FOUGHT against england and won INDEPENDENCE while the cons of the day were brit boot lickers.
Liberals wrote The U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights.
Lucky for you cons!

Why do you feel the need to summarize individuals as 'liberals'? Some people have logical points of view, others do not. The story ends there.
