At 16 weeks, the baby still has lots of room and will be moving around a lot. It's generally too early to feel the position, or to worry about it. Your midwife will start checking the position once you are about 24 weeks. Even then, there is still plenty of chance for the baby to change position.
Do an internet search on optimal fetal positioning. There is lots that can be done to encourage the baby to get in the correct position - such as sitting with knees lower than hips and spending some time on all fours.
My baby has been in position since 24 weeks, but it wasn't checked before then.

At 16 weeks, the baby is still small enough that you can't feel them on the outside yet. Even doctors can't really tell unless you have an ultrasound. 16 weeks is still early, and babies can change position up until birth. Some have even gone from breech to head down during labor. Others have flipped the other way.

Those of us who deal with pregnant women all day long know what we are feeling for, and can tell later in pregnancy where the head is by external palpitation (feeling the tummy). It's also a clue where the heartbeat is located. But at 16 weeks, that isn't even a given. Still too early to even worry about it!!

At 16 weeks it is very very hard to tell the position of your baby. At that stage they also move around A LOT but you usually can't feel it.
