...women were the ones that held open the door, pulled out the chair, lifted the heavy stuff, killed the nasty bugs, paid for the meal, mowed the lawn...?
Have you appreciated your man today?

Hubbys been sick, going to have surgery and remove his gall bladder tomorrow. I've been doing all the things he usually does plus mine that I normally do like cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids, shopping, bills, feeding the animals, doing the laundry...etc. It made me appreciate him a little more.

What a cute question! Lol. I like this, gotta star it!
But I think men should appreciate women no matter what cause we do the cooking and cleaning and "being sexy" part and we have to wear the sexy things so they should be LOVING US! Without women, men couldnt have there own kid (unless they adopt) so they should appreciate us no matter what!

No, the women's lib movement has already taken away to damned much of a male's identity. We appreciate our women for the nurturing. It makes us feel good to be able to the heavy lifting, and kill the bugs. It is part of who we are! And if you take that away, you take our identity away.
If the gay gals want to do it it does not matter to us either way. We have no stake there. But for the straight gals it is like taking away our manhood. And no straight man wants to be with a masculine female. If we want masculinity, we hang with the guys.
But thank you for asking, it means you care.

No I don't think that would make a difference, I think they appreciate you if you let them know you appreciate them.
And yes I appreciate my man every day and I show him in many different ways.

women do many things also.. like cook, clean, take care of the kids, and most of them bring home the bacon.. so you can't say we should appreciate men more.. what we all need to do is appreciate both genders.. we're all doing our part..

I appreciate my wife tremendously because we are equal partners. But I'm also a gentleman and do all the things mentioned because I think it is my place. But she did all those things when I broke my arm, blew out my knee and sprained my back four times. That is why it works. We are partners.

No, they wouldn't appreciate women more if they did all that. I gave my man a huge hug today - he does a lot for me.

How can a man appreciate a woman that has taken away the pride and very essence of being a man?

break the lines of sexism; buy your husband a pink shirt.
keep doing so-called "manly" things, and he should do the so-called "girly" things. Break the social conditiong.
Take up in his basketball and football hobbies and have him take a sewing class or two.
Of course we all should help around, but this is a good thing.
Nowhere did it ever say girls are this and boys are that. He's just got a few more inches in a place where you don't.

Its possible. But I always appreciate my man by cooking cleaning and that kind of stuff. He won't let me lift heavy stuff or mow the lawn (he doesn't like me to hurt myself, lol)
