A marriage to really work needs love and committment to stay in the marriage. It's a matter of being conscious of who they are as one couple. Marriage breaks down when misunderstandings and mistrusts start to ruin it. However, misunderstandings and mistrusts will not easily break down a marriage unless certain pillars of marriage were threatened. And what are these? Kin of extended family support, community's support and the economic viability of maintaining their own family. A couple who decided to get married are not only married to each other, but also married to each other's culture. Breakdown of marriage particularly among people of various nationalities are led but the breakdown of these unions. People tend to look at marriage as a personal choice. Its not. It has a social relevance and consequences as well. Without social support, it will be very hard for a marriage to last.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/Dl94N

To Filipinas, before they actually meet a Japanese man, they are already put up on a pedestal because about 95% of the electronic goods in the Philippines are from Japan so they think that Japan is some kind of paradise. And by association, the Japanese men must be that way also, marrying one must be paradise. So, when a Japanese guy gets transferred to the Philippines, and he is not in his element, he has to go out of his way to survive in a foreign country, so he is unusually kind and focuses a lot of his attention on his new Filipina wife. But when they travel back to Japan, the bubble is burst and the walls of the dream come tumbling down. The Japanese man is now in his element and he can be comfortable being "Japanese". His wife sustains the equivalent of a sledge hammer blow to the face. Not a lot of marriages can withstand that type of trauma.

On the positive side, the statistics for Christian Japanese-Filipina marriages is higher. Because even though there is the cultural shock, the support of the similar religious belief and support from a local church family is very therapeutic.

Hope that helps.

Some do actually last, but most don't. There are many reasons but I think a lot has to do with the difference in culture.

Marriages do not work not because of the couple’s nationalities but because of the very same basic reasons why marriages between couples of same nationalities do not work.

That is what you call life.

The brides are usually of the mail-order variety, so just use that as your starting point. You are asking what's wrong and it's more a question of, "what's right. . .?!"
Plus the majority of these men have either not been able to find a Japanese wife (for whatever personal reason) or are divorced (their wives couldn't stay w them. . .for whatever personal reason).

mixed marriages usually dont work because they are 2 different people with two different culture, two different languages, two different upbringing and all these things preventing them to be one.and they dont marry for the right reason...it should be love above else not comfort.
