Canadians: Who would you rather . . .?

Question

Would you rather have political ties to the US or to Europe? How about economic ties?

As a Canadian, I can say honesty, that with the trade surplus we presently enjoy with the U.S., I would rather continue these ties with them for a very long while. And as CBS pointed out, the U.S. should improve it's ties to Canada for we have the largest known oil reserves in the world.This, together with the amount of natural gas we also export to the U.S., the U.S. should continue to enjoy it's ties to Canada.We are friends as well as neighbors while Europe is off and on with it's associations to various countries. As such, they do not receive our support. The E.U. goes it alone while the CanAm Union should be ours to do the same.

Canada is a socialist country. They believe in equal opportunity for all it's citizens in regards to Education, Health Care and Standards of Living. They have more in common to European values than U.S. values. They share the same political system of most if not all European countries. The U.S. political system has become a joke to other nations.

hardly a question of 'rather'. Canadians might like to think that they're more 'cultured' and more 'European' than United Statistics (although it's not true), but at the end of the day we're sharing a blanket that's 'north-america' sized and predominately 'made in the USA'

Canada is a superior nation. Superior healthcare, education, and economic growth. Just like the EU.

You need more ties to the EU, for a better future.
