Do you want to get married (girls/guys)?

Question

I'm a girl and personally i don't want to get married,like i want to have kids and have a serious relationship. i just don't want to be married, i actually never wanted to be married! i think its such a religion based thing! and it seems like marriage brings the worst out of everyone, and its a big waste of money (because i wouldn't get any enjoyment of getting married!) , but if you do tell me = )

Religion has nothing to do with my marriage. (One of my first questions actually made a similar point.) I got married because I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the one I love. And the legal benefits. For us, the main reason to be "married" was the legal benefits. We would always belong to each other anyways, getting married just gave us extra benefits.

Marriage only brings out the worst in people when they have unrealistic expectations. Marriage can be the most wonderful thing in your life, but I don't think most people actually try to make it work. People don't seem to know how to be interdependent anymore, rather than independent.

And marriage does not have to be expensive. We got married in our backyard. the only thing it cost us was our marriage license and the judge's fee.

You're thinking too traditionally. There's a whole world of love and possibilities you haven't explored.

Why do you think you wouldn't get any enjoyment out of being married? It's no different from being in any other committed relationship (except, again, for the legal benefits).

Same here girlfriend. I feel the same way about marriage and kids. Too expensive and boring to care for children and be married. I just want a job and be rich and not have a care in the world.

Hmmmmm marriage is everyones choice.......Im married to a lovely woman and marriage has only enhanced our relationship. thats my 2 cents.
