I'm pro-life and against the war. And I'm a conservative.
I agree with your assertion that we've killed innocent civilians...seems to me we've picked up where Saddam left off!

Hi, I happen to be a close to the conservative "pro-life" community and can answer your question and will try to be as un-biased as possible. Those who are pro-life tend to build their ethics from the well-known Judeau-Christian codes from both the Torah and the New Testament. Most use principals from the Bible to make their choices. This is not a new concept at all. In fact, Christian principles have been affecting people's choices for some 2000 years (whether or not they realize it). Anyway, the Bible says that it is wrong to murder, as well as to not take advantage of the weak. Therefore, killing vulnerable, unborn children is wrong. Regarding war, there is far more disagreement within the conservative community, though generally conservatives desire to come to the aid of the needy (a prominent Biblical theme) and to love your neighbor as yourself. Therefore, they are willing to sacrifice to defend their neighbors from violence and to help those in need accross the globe. It is true that conservative individuals donate more to charities all over the globe than liberal individuals who tend to see that as the responsibility of governments. Comparing abortion to war is not a very fair to the conservative community, but I undersatnd where the asker's confusion comes from. I hope this helps answer your question. Many conservatives do not even realize where their ethics come from, but the principles are clearly the ones which have been a part of the American schema for centuries.

because the terrorists are hiding behind the innocent civilians and we can except this collateral damage as this is the price the enemy has to pay for harboring these terrorists..
our police do this in our country...high speed chases? shoot outs in the streets? are not innocents children killed ever day here in the USA?
about 118 people a day die on our highways from auto accidents..and most of these involve drunks and drugs...do the math..death is death..whether by a drunk/druggie or a terrorist...we are losing far more people in the UNITED STATES then in the war zone but we don't think about taking the driving privileges away from convicted drunks or druggies? how many people get caught driving on suspended driving license? Paris Hilton Nicole Richie? well they got $$$ that helps

I am a pro-life Liberal, and I'm against the death penalty, and I cannot answer your question. I can't understand why someone would care so much about the unborn, and care so little about the "born"--be it with medical care, the "dreaded" (ooohh scary,,,,) welfare, food, housing, or the fact that they can send our precious soldiers into a civil war and call it "fighting for democracy". And how about the "already born" Iraqis??? Are their lives worth nothing? Aren't ALL souls worth saving??

I think sillyKimmie above me needs to take a reading comprehension course. He was asking about the civilians in Iraq who are being killed and why is that alright. Not about our volunteer soldiers. Funny how you call liberals stupid yet completely misunderstand the question. Please read the question properly and answer accordingly next time before you go on an insult laden tirade.
And of course its ok if those Iraqi's are killed there not Christian the only thing most of them care about.

Because they are lazy. They are lazy because they want to use the government to force women to behave as they see fit.
They are lazy because they would rather kill everyone in the world than make any attempts to coexist. They are false Christians, because the Christian way is persuasion. Persuasion is much more difficult than force.

That's a trick question, right?
Why wouldn't pro life people be in favor of eliminating a demented ideology that pleasures itself by blowing up innocent people?
The added note to your question isn't true.

Victory does not come easily and if You have to destroy some extra apples to get the bad one then so be it. Anyone that permits terrorist to live among them (knowingly) deserves whatever they get. Being pro life does not mean You have to be unrealistic about defending Your country.
