Someone actually emailed me and seemed to think it was odd that our avatars looked similar. (I could pick out at least 4 differences.) I almost got the impression that they were accusing me of copying theirs. You know, there are only so many faces and hairstyles to choose from. Besides, I'm here for the questions and answers...the avatar is an afterthought. Is it just me, or has anyone else had this experience?

No that has never happened to me.
I find it interesting that you and I almost have the same Avatar name I won't email you I am just telling you right now.

No, I'm happy to say that no one went that far to email me to tell me that BUT I started to notice that there were so many Avatars that looked so similar that I decided to go into the 360 and put some more personal photos on from my own collection.

I have been guilty of e-mailing one of my avatar "cousins" when I changed my looks for winter. It turned out that she lived some place in north Canada while I live in the American South where a blizzard is 13" and a rarity. Since then, I have seen several more "cousins" out there, but I haven't contacted anyone else lately. We looked almost identical and you could see a "family resemblance".

nope , but i dont use avatar, i use a picture as you can see, when u got time u could always go look for a pic ont he net of something arty or something fantasy art, something u like, or not. Anyhow like why would u wanna copy someone elses i mean people get so snooty bout the stoopidest things dont they, i would prolly go copy now jsut to peeve them off hahah

No this has not happened to me, but if you look at the one that I use there must be 50 or more of the same, but I have had some emails sent to me regarding some of my answers, some good and some so,so

nope, sry but some of us look similar to other people in the world, and there are only so many possible avatar combinations. Specially when it crops your avi to just the head.

Yes someone had done that to me, saying how did I have their kitty picture. This is definitely my cats picture, so you are not alone, there is many riding on an emotional rollercoaster who are quick to point a finger at anything they think they want to get offended over.

Believe it or not I had somebody leave a pretty nasty answer to one of my questions saying that I stole the pic and messed up their blog - all sorts of crap. Not quite sure if they were serious or not, but I was pretty irritated.

yup.. many time before.. before all the new styley crap came out and the knitted hat + hair do that i have was popular... but im not a fan of upgrading. besides, they're all just carootny ppl.... i dont care about the latest fashions. i like to stick to what i have.. learn to want wat u have not to have want u want..
