get a response you want backed up

It seems to me many questions are based more on hearing if anyone agrees with what you think the answer should be, more than an honest answer you might be giving them.
do you feel many ask a question to get permission to do what they want or feel V.S. what is a credible answer.

this question falls into that category as well BTW.

ok maybe I should be a little more clear I beleive some of the voted best answers are the worst answers or advice you can give someone (not all of them but some of them) and yet they sound more like what the person wanted to hear, not what they needed to hear.

I differ with you many here are asking for help, the many answers help them to make a more educated decision on how to approach the problem because they have more than one answer. They can combine the best of each answer and make a decision on how to solve their problem. Wish computers were around when I was younger so I didn’t make so many mistakes.

This is true for most people.
I always ask advice of the people who are going to tell me what I want to hear. Why not?
So many people give me unsolicited advice I don't want to hear.
