I just put in new laminate flooring and I'm loving it, except we chipped a couple of peices when installing it. I was told there are repair kits for such problems but I'm having trouble finding any. Do any of you know of any repair kits for laminate flooring? Links?

Go to Lowe's and look for Precision repair filler. It comes in a small squeeze tube and you'll find it in either the flooring dept. or around the countertops. It is made to fill chips scratches and seams in laminate flooring and countertops and comes in a large variety of colours. I use it every week, good stuff.

I would just like to add one thing to what the others said before. Any wood putty or laminate filler will work just fine for chips in laminate. And yes home depot, Lowe's, etc. all sell these. If they don't have your exact color you can buy a couple of them in different shades and mix them together to get the ride shade to match your floor. Just put some in the affected area and use a plastic putty knife to apply. If it's a deep chip you may have to apply a few coats till its level with the rest of the floor. You will want to fix it fairly soon because if you continue to wash your floor it could be soaking into the floor which will cause peaking of the floor seams. If the problem is really bad and cant be fixed properly a trained installer can fix the problem fairly quickly if it's the snap-lock type floor and depending on where the chip is. The closer to a wall, the easier the fix.

we have laminate in the kitchen at my house, we fixed a chip in the floor with wood putty.
^lowes, home depot^
do you have any extra pieces? laminate is very easy, snaps together, when installing it, usually we put it in the room for a few hours to ''acclimate'' open it all up and carefully examine all pieces, discard or save for ''odd'' fits any chipped pieces.
