Warriors are tanks, for them damage is really secondary, at least when they are in a group.

Shamans are hybrids, they can do whatever you build them to do. This makes them have an easier solo experience since they can do anything.

In groups, however, there would be more demand for a warrior than a Shaman, since many don't know how to play a Shaman well they've developed a poor rep on some servers. Most people think 'healer' when they think of a hybrid class, and they don't really want you doing anything else.

Having both a 40 something shaman and warrior, I have to say shamans are easier.

However, there is a lot more group utility for a warrior than for a shaman. If you know how to tank, you will always find places in instance groups easily. Shammies can't mainheal, or tank, they are a good fifth member, but they have to compete with all the other fifth members.
