you can get a free credit report from "annual credit report. com. It doesn't include a credit score. However, if you apply for a mortgage and are turned down they must include your credit score.

well there are not really any ways that i know of. If you have any of those though it is pretty safe to use on those sites. Most the time it just starts a trial membership that you can cancel. If you don't have any accounts or credit cards though it probably does not matter because without those to things you will have a low score.

annualcreditreport.com will give you a free copy of your credit report. This website was set up by the three credit bureaus and is recognized as legitimate. Your "credit score" is more difficult to come by. There are many different companies that "score" credit. Each of the three credit bureaus have their own proprietary "score". The most widely used scoring methodology is "Fico", created by Fair Issac. I do not know of any free places to get your 3 Fico scores for free. If you wish to pay for this, you can visit myfico.com to get the information. In my opinion, this is the best way to determine your "real" score (most widely used by lenders).

The companies charge for the score, unless you sign up for a 30 day trial, but then you have to remember to cancel it. If you are not wanting an exact score, but just a range, see the link below.
