does 60 minutes stories on iraq help or hurt image in the world?

about gitmo & last night the questions, they made the marine guilty even before the trial. then again ever week they have a hit piece on bush or the military. what good does do in the eyes of the world. who doesn't any more fuel.

I think we are forgetting that we are not the only people with reporters in Iraq, nor should we not forget that our broadcast or cable network TV monopolize TV news that stream into homes of foreign nations. Every nation has its own TV network. It is only when our news network contradicts all other nations' - just like the period between 2003 - 2005 when so many of US TV broadcasters from Fox Noise, MSNBC and CNN earned the nickname of "Bush's Poodles" in many nations - that we'd be hurting our own image. At least, these days, we have broadcasters honest enough to report on news they witness that match what have been witnessed by other nations' broadcasters. What we are forgetting is that it is easy to tally US reports with those from other nations. Educated foreigners don't just watch Fox Noise and become totally oblivious to other news media... which unfortunely is what some here seem to prefer to do.

Only Simpletons are inclined to believe that the world only watches American TV news and none other!

Neither ppl from outside get a different view of america ne way we r the ones inside looking out n not really knowing how the rest of the world sees us, while they r on the outside looking in they have a better view of america than most americans have of themselves. I think they have a far more accurate picture of american than we do.

its dispicable what the major networks have done to our country.... cnn msnbc, nbc cbs the new your times, just about all with the exception of maybe fox news channel, have done nothing but try to undermine, and ruin the image of the us in the eyes of the world... makes me sick
