I want to hear it from the guy or gal who has smelled it, tasted it, sweat it, felt it, looked it in the face, and kicked it's butt! And that is not the reporter, politician, editor, anchorman or woman, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Jerry Springer, O.J., Dan Rather, Jane Fonda, Little Bo Peep, Betty Boop, or any other self rightious scuzbag who thinks they know something about everything...............................................where's my meds??????

I actually believe the soldiers who have come home, who I've talked to and who are in my classes that I teach. They are marines who have served over there twice. they all pretty much hate Bush and think he is the biggest coward and traitor to this country. And, they all know why they are there: to protect the oil and Kellogg Brown and Root. They know it isn't about preserving our freedoms. They are all too smart to fall for the lies of this president and vice president.
I also read from articles from independent journalists who are not embedded with the military and have a posh life in the green zone. I also read veteran magazines who say pretty much the same thing but in a nicer way. Got a problem with that?

The BBC. The British have no problem telling us what's going on over there and over here. They were the ONLY ones I got good information from about 9/11. We would have parties in my room and watch the BBC news to get the facts, and talk about them at dinner to our other friends. Three years later when the government let the press give this information to it's citizens, we were seen as gods of information. Too bad we have such a "freedom of the press" in this country that they can't report on the truth when it happens.

Neither. Soldiers are only focused on the objective handed them (which is good). Give a US soldier an objective, you can count it done.

This does not make them someone to turn to for the Big Picture of a war.

Neither. Neither of those activities makes someone an expert on the war.

And I prefer to evaluate information from a variety of sources, not just one, to form my opinion about something.

After seeing the soldier's stories on ABC, NBC, CBS,
MSNBC, 360 with Anderson Cooper & 60 Minutes,
I would say, anyone's except the current administration's.

I would ask the brave soldier who has served. It's a heck of a lot better than getting artificial links to anti-war garbage.
