you can use the finger holes that are in the glove... just do push-ups with on your fingertips to strengthen your hands... that'll help the most...

Through the hole in the bottom. ;-)

Seriously. I have always been a fan of the index finger outside the glove method. It lets me close the glove tighter around the ball. You can actually try this right now.... Touch your thumb to your index finger on the same hand. See how far away the other fingers are, and how difficult it is to touch those fingers to your thumb at the same time? Now leave your index finger out, and you can easily touch all 3 of the other fingers to your thumb within very close proximity to each other.

I agree with your dad but I have always put two fingers in the furthest away. I don't really recommend the finger outside the glove bit because I broke my finger once sliding when it caught a sprinkley head. There is always a chance for a freak accident that can result in a jammed finger or a broken finger. If you put two fingers in the last whole (pinky and ring finger) you now have room to move your index finger over to the middle finger's whole and the middle finger over to the ring finger's whole.

Good luck.

I have played ball(used to that is) for over 50 years...I have put three and two fingers in the furtherest pocket.. They both felt good.. Dont recommend putting a finger in the one closest
to the thumb... More chance of injury on a hard liner, etc.
I agree with your father...Easier to close the glove on the ball if you dont have them in each finger hole...Now...I was an outfielder and a pitcher in slow pitch... Infielders might differ on this... butttt i stick with your dad and the above comments

properly, i'm 21 and characteristic accomplished that ever in view that little league. maximum gloves have an establishing for the index finger. I orginally did it for the convenience reason. yet being a usual baseman, I replaced it to doing for discomfort motives. The ball can harm that finger and conserving it out supplies better padding. And when I grew to become an outfielder later, I continued doing it purely by way of fact i became used to it. yet taking part in on those frigid days, at times you could placed it decrease back in the glove to maintain it heat. yet this is why I did it; for convenience and better padding.

I personally put my fingers in each pocket and it feels great. I've never had a problem with closing the glove.

There is no right or wrong way. Just whatever is most comfortable to you. I leave my index finger out. So it is easier to pick my nose and eat my boogers
