red or blue makes no difference,,what does is when idiots blame Bush for everything,,ie katrina
a hurricane hits big easy ,,so they have been told for years and years it will happen
the hurricane came through roughed it up some and passed
all the kings men came out and said hey we missed,, but
what is that water coming over the levy
millions of dollars had been sent to NO to fix the levy ,,the year before Katrina the money was spent building bicycle paths on top of the levies,,just in case a hurricane hit
I suppose Bush should have been there and drove the buses to higher ground, or he should have been in Houston where all the murder and rapes took place in the astro dome , or he should have at least been on that bridge where the police would not let the blacks pass
and I know dam well he should have been in the boat with the idiot from hollywood, and shoveling dirt with John edwards for ten minutes
when the mayor and governor and legislators all had their heads in their asses ,,yea lets blame the President

What a ridiculous idea. Perhaps you haven't noticed but there are no "red states" or "blue states" - there is only the United States.
That red and blue nonsense was a media invention and has been gone a long time.

I think it has nothing to do with the Civil War line and more to do with population. The Democrat platform is just more attractive when you live in a highly populous urban area. Basically, because that's where you see problems with homelessness and personal property rights aren't as important.

The general disrespect for the those from the south comes from those Liberals who have a hard time actually debating an issue and fall back on name calling.

Florida maintained it Republican strong hold. Only idiots think Katrina and/ or hurricanes are the presidents direct responsibility. Most people are smarter than that.

because of the south, we are stuck with George W Bush.
BUT....
after the demeaning and criminal response time Bush was in charge of, post Katrina, the GOP is going to have a VERY hard time carrying the gulf states in 2008
