i had a friend over and he was doin stuff on my computer messing around with the settings and when i look at my computer, the blue bar that my minimized programs are onis now vertical and is on the left side of my screen everything is running fine but its really anoying and i dont know how to get it back to normal and neither does my friend


ps- i have windows xp

yea just click like in the center portion of the bar and drag it back to its usual spot....

I am guessing you are talking about the taskbar.

1st, right click on the task bar and see if the option 'Lock the Taskbar' is checked....uncheck it if it is.

Next left click and hold then drag your mouse down to the bottom of the screen. You should see the outline of the taskbar move to where it normally is. Let go of the left button...this should get your taskbar back in place.

Once it is where you want it, right click and select the 'Lock taskbar' option to keep it in place.

click and hold down on the blue bar (aka taskbar) and drag where you prefer, now, the taskbar may be locked, if so, you will see a check mark, when you right-click on a blue spot, near where it says, LOCK THE TASKBAR. that'll do it.

right-click it and make sure 'lock the taskbar' is unchecked.
by the clock, click and hold the left mouse button and drag it back down to the bottom.
right-click again and re-enabled 'lock the taskbar'.

My grandson used to keep mine like this. Like the others said click and drag it back, but be patient sometimes this can be tricky.

click on it and drag it to which ever side of the screen u want it to be.

just drag it back to the bottom. go with your mouse click on it. hold. bring back down. and let go. see? so simple ;]
