Absolutely. He has the ethical and in some states, the legal right to be aware and [at the discretion of the court] participate in the life of this child. Certainly, I would suggest testing the DNA of the baby so that all parties concerned will have no doubt once it is out in the open. Good Luck.

...I think that lies completely up to you. You could tell him so his family knows and can help you and your baby can met it's father but don't expect a loving relationship between the two of you again. To be in a relationship because of a baby will screw you and the baby up if he ever cheats or leaves the two of you.

Not telling him is also your choice. The baby is yours and you didn't need any help from him. The only problem I can see arising is the baby asking who or where their father is.

It's your choice really. Yeah, it would be good for him to know but it could screw up the family you've worked hard to raise and keep, y'know?

I think the central point is, "Is this about you, or your child?". There's no benefit to YOU in telling him, so as the child's parent, you need to decide whether the child is better or worse having contact with the father. At this stage, you are in control & have the power, he'll never know if you don't tell him. Once "the truth is out" there's no going back.

Definantly, you know what??? I don't know my dad, and if your babys daddy can't take the news than he can just get over it. My dad left my mom when he found out that she was pregnant with me, and he didn't want me. I have never met him my whole life, I have never met him!!! I have seen him at a Crazy water festival but he looked at me and walked faster like he hated me or something, it makes me feel bad, but one day I thought about how he never wanted me and to see kids with their fathers made me sad, and I thought, well hey look on the bright side, I don't need him, there are other people that love me!

hey if he was the father and you want to make him responsible, then do so. but if you are getting along fine and you think that he would just bring trouble. don't bother.

but since you broke off before because he found another girl, telling him about the child would be like getting a rock and hitting yourself on the head with it. in short - 'trouble'

If he is the Father of the baby, Yes you should tell him and make him pay all the cost for the baby. Don't let him get away with it. Is his responsibility too.

Yeah. He is the father and it's his right to know he has a child out there in the world.

Your baby has the right to know who his/her father is your baby might resent you if you hide it, however, if this man would pose a danger to your baby then do not. for your own safety and sanity. Also remember if you do tell him he might want to take the baby from you. I wish you luck.

tell him about the baby. the kid needs a father and you can get child support but don't go back to him because of it.
