Try Escape ((773) 348-4217, 2128 N Halsted St), a video game store/parlor on Halsted St. near Armitage. It has the latest video games and equipment, but it also has special rooms you can rent by the hour. Get a bunch of friends together and rent a room for a few hours. it has digital televisions, top of the line equipment, etc.

You can check out the batting cages at the indoor batting park above Sluggers bar on north Clark St. near Wrigley Field. (http://www.sluggerschicago.com/)

You can check out the miniature golf course on West Devon Ave. in Lincolnwood. it's called Novelty Golf. Not sure if it's open for the season yet, but give them a call (847-679-9434)

You can see some cool plant life at the Garfield Park conservatory on west Lake St. (http://www.garfield-conservatory.org/). It's a great place to go when it cold outside. The sight of lush green plant life in the winter time is a great stress buster.

Or check out the Botanical Garden in Glencoe (http://www.chicago-botanic.org/). It's much bigger than the Garfield Park Conservatory. It;s probably better to wait until the warmer weather. You can walk around outside and see the various plants and gardens along the trail.

if the weather's nice, go to Navy Pier and rent a bike and ride along the lakefront bike path.

Visit Greektown for lunch or dinner. I prefer the Greek islands restaurants. Order the flaming cheese and listen as the waiters light it on fire and yell "Opaaaaa!!!!"

Visit the National Museum of Mexican Art (http://www.nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org/). it is PHENOMENAL!!! Lot of Freda Khalo stuff, Day of the Dead stuff, a great gift shop....

Or check out the DuSable Museum of African American History. (http://www.dusablemuseum.org/). Most people only think of it as a "Black" museum, but people of all nationalities go there. A great, underappreciated museum located in the middle of Jackson Park.

and if you want a good daytrip, check out Starved Rock State Park (http://www.starvedrocklodge.com/). It takes about an hour to drive there (It's located in Utica, Illinois), but it had fantastic hiking trails and great views.

There is SO much to do in Chicago that most Chicagoans who have lived here all their lives only scratch the surface. Heck, I've only listed the things I can remember off the top of my head. There are about a million more things....

If you check in the Cook County Forest Preserve website, you will find that there is a hiking area in the Palos/Lemont area that has some small caves...my husband took our kids there with Scouts and said it was a hidden treasure in this area. Also walking through Fullersburg Woods in Hinsdale is really nice. Right now they sound be having guided tours of the tapping of the trees for maple syrup. "Graue Mill Museum" is also there that gives a nice history of the area. Have fun!

Go to the Giant Shaumberg Mall ( about 20 miles west of the city) and then go to the movies. (they have a multiple movie show right in the mall)

round right here, they are cottonwood tree seeds. My dogs and my mom are both allergic to them. Are you talking about white fluffy issues that are somewhat higher than dandelion seeds and form of like products ripped off a cotton ball? in case you do not have a tree like that, one in all of your acquaintances likely does. they prefer moist parts, specifically, so as it truly is the position i'd start up searching for the source once you do not have the different concept.
