I recently bought a processor from someone.. is it possible the processor was sold to me with a virus on it?

no, its all in the software, no hardware is involved. it might be a piece of ****, but that doesn't mean it has a virus.

How well do you know the person who sold this to you? Some people are really sick! It may not be your processor, but there is a device called a "snoop-box" piece of hardware that can be stuck in your computer that can be used to trace everything that you do without your knowledge until the device conflicts with other programs and software on your computer! If it is your processor, it could be a problem with your BIOS software that needs updating- which could also be affected by a virus or some kind of devious method too!

Now I've never heard of a processor having a virus... I'm not even sure it's possible. If you got a new processor and your computer is acting weird it might just be a virus on your computer, ad-aware, zone alarm...etc any virus tracking software should help you out. try some tech forums as well.
