please help i really need it my sons birthday is coming and i went and when he was in school i checked if it worked and that was the problem.

If the game doesnt go in and the green light for the system is on then you most likely have a faulty motor in the disc drive. Since the PS3 hasnt been out for over a year Im hoping that you have the one year service plan that most places like gamestop offer. I have it and it covers the ps3 in full so they will fix or replace it no questions asked. If you dont then you should be able to get it fixed, sounds like a job any electronics repair place could do but contact Sony first. You can go to their website and do a live chat with a tech person and they will tell you what you need to do. Its free.

probably is that when you open it you just jam the disk in.. wait for the light to light up.. and it still wont go in.. COMPLETELY take the disk out and then put it in the slot.. probably happening is because you eject it and immediately want to pop it back in to try it out.

get rid of it and get a 360
