i like this guy in my gym class but i told my friend about him and she said that i would be a loser if i dated or liked him. im kinda high on the social status but i think hes a cute guy and that he likes me.

It is a sign of maturity and depth when you can ignore the shallow opinions of others and do what you know is right for you.....if you really like this guy, ignore your friend and follow your heart. Cool isn't everything and he obviously has some good qualities you value.

Wow, that's deep. You CERTAINLY wouldn't want to risk your social status- what could be more important than that? When you get out of high school hopefully you'll realize that if you care about someone, that's all that matters, not what others think of them.

Your friends are shallow,aren't they?How can you judge someone without knowing them?Social status means nothing when the heart is involved...Do yourself a favor,don't be like them..do what you want & be a better person for it!

you shouldnt care what other people unless you want to be one of those type of people who even after highschool care about being the "cool one". if you like someone you should at least try doing something about it other wise you will never know what could have happened. (also im one of those guys and never get a second look over after they see who i hang with or how i dress n all that jazz)

My fiance's a total nerd. He's also totally perfect for me. If someone's right for you, it doesn't matter what some stupid popular group at school thinks. When school's over and all those people are gone, you'll be happy to have an awesome relationship.

Once I started dating him, he WOULD be cool. The same could work for you.
Once, when I was in school, I told one of my friends that I thought a certain guy was cute, and she made fun of me. THEN, that ***** asked him out!
I think you should just ask him out!

Please don't refer to yourself as "high on the social status". I don't mean to sound rude here, but you are no better than anyone else at your school, trust me. If you like him, then go for it and don't worr about what other people think.

Well, if you really like him it shouldn't matter what others think. Believe it or not as you get older what people think of you is the last thing that will matter afterall they are not the ones living your life.
