Geez...I hate it when the thing starts jangling away so early in the morning. Sometimes, I just wanna take a sledge hammer and beat it into submission!!!

ha in high school i went thru more than five. i threw them against the wall etc..... i had to put it out of reach and throwing distance(coffee cup across room actually hit it) no one likes them. unless there those weird morning people.

My alarm clock takes a beating daily because it's so stupid and obnoxious. People might say, "oh well get an alarm clock that plays music." Well I used have my iPod set to wake me up, then I started some of my favorite music. I would rather hate my alarm than music!

Oh yeah, alarm clocks are the worst. That annoying buzzing sound seems to get louder and louder until you actually hit it. At the present time I have a live alarm clock, my 7 month old son which is much better than that buzzing.

It seems like by now someone would have invented an alarm that started soft and progressively got louder. That, and a selection of sounds to wake to that are a little easier to deal with. Maybe chirping birds, or you could even record a sound you enjoy!!
Now, somebody go get rich with this idea! LOL

Oh, just be glad someone didn't get you one of those Hillary Clinton Alarm Clocks as a gift! When it's time to wake you up, the thing puts out a recording of one of her shrill screams at a rally. Hillary at her worst. Then, you'd have no option but to get up and turn her screeching voice off.

haha! sledge hammer is too much...
bring a liter of cooking oil to boil and watch the noisy clock melt and hear its fading jangling cries turn to silence....
...imagine the revenge of other alarm clocks in your neighborhood...

Go to bed earlier! I like my alarm clock. Of course, I get to bed at a reasonable hour and the clock doesn't jangle, it plays "Fur Elise."

Hated? Not at all! Where would we be without it? Late all the time, I suppose. What I will say is that the person who came up with the snooze was definitely a procrastinator. Why blame the alarm for going off at a time that you yourself set it?

I hated mine, so I switched jobs and now working 3 - 11, so I can sleep in without that damn thing going off. LOL
But,,, right behind the alarm clock,, I think the most hated device...at least for me.. is that damn nextel walkie talkie phone... beep beep, holy crap, keep your conversations to yourselves people. LOL
