Unless you're having major problems with it, don't change it.
If your insurance co. is making you change it, then i guess you have to. I have seen knob and tube in place and working for years. Still working to this day .Its separated in the attic, so there is no chance of it shorting together..and causing a fire..

I would upgrade wiring to my appliances, TV, etc. Leave the knob and tube .How long do you think its been in your home? it will outlast you

In a house that is about 2,000 square feet with 3 bedrooms about 4,500 to 6,000.00 depending on if you bring it completely up to code or just replacing wiring that is existing and new 200amp breaker cabinet.
