~I'm going to answer this directly from the question. Yes, I believe that whatever breaks, (brings) you down, can lift you back up.
I was in college and nothing was working out. I wasn't getting along with others and knew if I didn't finish, I would regret it the rest of my life.
I went home and cried most of the night, and prayed. I thought about quitting. After a while, I decided I wasn't going to allow them to take what I wanted, a graduation.
I went to school the next morning and smiled at everyone, was pleasant to everyone and everyone could see the difference. It worked, I graduated.~

I believe that being conscious of the let-down (or whatever) is more precise, and will have longer-lasting effects because I actually KNOW what happened, and understand it. Being unfocused in such a manner is somewhat sloppy, in my opinion; it's like putting out an electrical fire with water, which isn't very smart...
