during the Pegasus sequence, when you kill the other birds and then have to dodge the fireballs coming at you and the left analog stick is the only thing that works, I keep getting knocked off during the 4th fireball and cant recover? there seems to be no room to escape the 4th one

Ok I just got what you are talking about Yes the 4th on will knock you off to get back up you need to move the analog stick left and right real fast and Pegasus will pick up and go through the cave. I asked this the first day I got the game I did not get an answer to what I was looking for but I figured it out my self.
Maybe just look at my old question to see if it is where you are in the game

god of War 2 is a very hard game you have to get lucky on the 4th fireball so keep trying

ok. the guy that is firing the fire balls at you doesn't really aim at you....this is what you do.
the guy only fires in 4 places top-right, top-left, bottom-right, and bottom-left. hold your place in one side and if you see the fire ball coming towards you move to another side but return to the same place afterwards "don't" choose a different one.
This worked for me. and I already finished it.
Its a good game 9/10.
