at the 5th sharing john has 1+2+3+4+5=15,
bill has 1+ (1+2) + (1+2+3) + (1+2+3+4) + (1+2+3+4+5)
= 1+3+6+10+15=35
so, 35-15=20. Bill has 20 more candy bars than John

Bill: 1+3+6+10+15=35

35 - 15 = 20

So, I think bill have 20 more candy bats than John.
