That bloke they named the hospital after. It hasn't been getting good press lately. What the bloody hell does this have to do with football?

Walter Reed was a US Army Officer, and scientist who discovered that "Yellow Fever" was transmitted by mosquitoes and not human contact. I believe he developed a serum for the fever. His discovery helped worker finish building the Panama Canal. Try typing Walter Reed , in web search.

Walter Reed was the chief surgeon that came up with the innoculation to save the engineers in the Panama canal from coming down with yellow fever.

You hear about the Army Hospital named after him in the news all the time.
The hospital is really run down and the troops staying there started complaining and writing to their congressmen.

Walter reed was a famous Army physician.. A medical center is named after him....I know of no sports figures (famous ones) with that name....
