PETA...People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
They do a lot of good for animals, that's true. But put simply, they are a terrorist group. They've gone to KFCs and given children mock KFC buckets full of fake blood, chicken heads, and generally nasty stuff. They've gone to children's shows (like Barney Live kind of stuff) and given out gruesome comic books with an evil woman slaughtering bunnies on the cover with big bold letters saying "YOUR MOMMY IS A MURDERER". If your thinking about joining an animal rights group, don't go with this one. Your better off giving your time at a Human Society or similar group and actually helping the animals who need it than putting thousands, possibly more, into cheap tricks to scare kids, assault people, and generally be a bad guy. There are people involved with PETA who are generally nice animal lovers, but the group as a whole..bad guys.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. A good idea, but PETA is a very radical group who believes animals have the same thoughts and feelings as humans and who share these beliefs in such tasteful protests as throwing blood on people wearing fur. Very left wing, very radical, and far beyond "ethical."
The National Humane Society is somewhat radical as well. If you are interested in helping out animals, I would suggest volunteering with your LOCAL humane society.
A previous answerer said, "they want to save the animals, but it's ok to kill babies" Amen to that! Save the baby seals, kill the baby humans! (I guess it's not a female seal's right to choose?)

ok,PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. theyre the largest animal rights activist group. Theyre focus is on 4 main areas,which are,factory farms,labrotories,clothing trade,and the entertainment industry.PETA tries to end animal suffering and cruelty to all animals.

PETA is a bunch of bobble minded idiots like Pamela Anderson who think that feeding your animals meat products is wrong. They don't support animal labs unless they are testing products they use like BOTOX, implants, and make-up and over all like to cause a big scene to get people fired up. They say they don't approve feeding other animals meat products but feel okay posing naked in pictures with exotic animals.
