I know! Same thing I'm sayin'.... 'cause anyone can change the information, and you don't even have to be signed in!
It's crazy, 'cause the other day my boyfriend was lookin' on the internet for debate information, and he printed out soooo many pages from Wikipedia.
Then I told him, "You know that's all wrong information right?" And he's like, "Huh?" Then I told him how you could easily change it, and I showed him how easy he was.
Then he walked away all mad, 'cause I always seem to kill everyone's joy, but it's true.
At least someone else sees it my way. XD

It's useful for certain purposes:
1) WK is good for basic information. Even for more intensive research, it gives me some basic background knowledge before I turn to more reliable sources.
2) WK is a good place to start so that I can learn where else to look and what to look for when I turn to more expensive sources.
3) WK is good to get the public's sense of the answer.
For me, it's not the end all be all. It's a means to an end.

Wikidepia.org is still a good source of info. They are now taking steps to "lock down" the contributions. They have had their problems recently with "Trolls", just like a lot of other sites.

I think because of it's convenience. It is generally the first site that pops up whenever you do a search. People are pretty lazy

They're too lazy to do real research by using real hardcover encyclopedia and trustworthy online databases like Gale and EbscoHost
