The truth of the matter is that you can't. Aquamarine is very problematical to identify by sight alone, many stones are even without visible inclusions to give a clue. With the aid of instruments there is no problem at all but this is not the sort of equipment to be found in the average home. I regret that you will have to enlist the help of an expert.
