Can someone walk me through who I should get each round? I am pretty sure I have 7th pick out of 12 people in my league so I'll probably have David Ortiz as my pick. What do you think? Can you walk me through who I should pick each round and everything else very quickly? Should I go for a pitcher first, a power hitter, a relief, everything you possibly know about the drafting?

wait on a pitcher till about the 3/4 round you could get either carlos zambrano or roy halladay or jake peavy, also picking up a great clser early is a good idea, like joe nathan or k rod

with your first 2 picks you def want 2 great hitters, i would try to get a good comibnation of power and speed. with the 7th pick i would go with carl crawford, you might think its early for him but he will help you in many categories, hes a great fantasy player, and you could pick up some power later with your second pick with manny or vladi

1. crawford
2. manny/vladi
3. stating picther ( carpenter? zambrano? peavy? halladay?)
4. closer ( nathan? k rod? rivera?)
5. then go for some good hitters for the next 3-4 picks
6. then get another closer
7. draft some pitching
8. draft some more hitting, remmeber to get a good combination of speed(steel, doubles) and power(homers, RBI's).
9. then more pitching

if ur smart u won't draft a pitcher until about 8th round. get a great offense and then there's a whole mix of pitchers way down on the list, starting with like chris young, barry zito, dan haren, etc. once u get ur offense established all those pitchers will still be there. reyes and soriano are definitely the two best fantasy players because they fill up every stat category but they'll probly be gone, i'd go with guerrero and then beltran on the way back. don't waste time picking a catcher cuz unless you get joe mauer they're all the same. go with someone like barrett or molina in one of the last rounds. try ur best to get robinson cano because he's going to last longer than he should. also i recommend not drafting a bench because it is useless to have players on ur team if u don't play them every day. instead of bench players u could have even more starters and win in strikeouts and wins every week (if it's head to head). also don't waste picks on a great closer because you can always pick up 3 or 4 good closers off free agents throughout the season. last year i picked up papelbon, putz, otsuka, and cordero and i don't think i lost in saves once. trust me on all those things and you'll get a real sick squad. good luck.

Alot depends on the scoring....if defense is considered then Ortiz falls on the draft board. I would look at Beltran or Crawford. When the pick comes back to you then look at one of the top two starters...Santana or Carpenter. Even consider Oswalt. From then on pick the best players while trying to fill in your roster...dont leap too early just to fill a spot. If there isnt a top player in that position remaining, hold out and build the rest of your roster. Relief pitching is big, because saves are hard to come by and they help your ERA and WHIP.
