I am wanting to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 2500 so it will perform faster and so I can install Windows Vista. Dell recommends a maximum of 512 MB of RAM for my notebook. I am wanting to upgrade the hard-drive to 160 GB and the RAM to 1GB (2 sticks of 512 MB). Will this combination of hard-drive and RAM work properly?

it depends on your motherboard. if your motherboard can't handle 1 GB then its not possible to add 1BG.

Hi. This review http://www.hardwarecentral.com/hardwarecentral/reviews/article.php/768391 indicates that that machine is not a great candidate for Vista.

harddrive and ram dont care about each other. add as much ram as you want. if it fits that is.
