my grandmother heard my nephew was taking rockets what is it? prescription pills or illegal drugs?

From quick look is seems it can mean just about anything. As the first ref below points out, street slang changes very rapidly. It is also highly dependent on locality. I suppose asking your nephew (or his friends) is out of the question?
