It sounds like you should be on the offensive line, or a defensive tackle. If your decently fast, i would try offensive guard. If your just one of those really big guys, I would try offensive Tackle, or defensive tackle, depending on if you'd rather play offence or defence. It sounds to me that you have the perfect body fit for a linemen though, so go ahead and try out for the team. Whats the worst that can happen?

Anything inside the box. Offense and Defense. That means everything but DB's, WR's, QB, and kicker.

ps. 220 is small for the line. Most players in HS at atleast 265 that play the line. 220 is a safty in college and the NFL.

I know how it is to be big and fast.... Your position really depends on the needs of your team...My sophomore my team hd alot of big guys... so with my speed I played MLB.... My junior year we lost a few guys so I went back and forth from OLB to MLB and DT.... and This year my senior year we had almost no big guys so I had to play RT,RG,LT,LG, DT, DE.... Alot of injuries on the OLine cause that... I doesnt matter how big you are now... just get stronger and give it your all and they will find a spot for you..

It is worth a try if you are into football. If you are fast, you could probably play fullback with your size. It really depends what height you are, and how strong you are. I would talk to the coach if you are interested.

If you are fast - start where your size benefits you the most.

defensive line...then as your body developes and grows...
if your speed remains...
tell the coach you want to carry the ball.

My linebacker did that - now he's a part time running back and doing well.

But start where you are best suited first.

don't discourage yourself with your weight problem. you are not the only one with that problem. about football team, why not you should give a try. you can lose some weight from exercise too.not only that who knows they might will realise that they were missing the star player the whole time.

If you're a muscular 219.5 (and you're only 13!!!), these are the positions you should try out for:

FB, DL, OL, maybe OLB and maybe ILB

If you're a fat 219.5 (be honest with yourself) these are the positions you should try out for:

OL, DL

it is my admission that I was in the same position as you
my problem was the running drills, they killed me
at this point position doesn't matter as much as improving speed and knowledge

I didn't know jack about positions and was slow... that and didn't care too much about the sport at the time

your a big guy, i dont know if that is fat or muscle.....either way definalty play football.

if your fat- play line on offense or defense
if its muscle- outside linebacker or inside linebacker, hands down, your size would be great at this position.
