I have a PS3 and own Fight Night Round 3 as well as NBA 2K7 and Need for Speed Carbon. What I've noticed in those games is there seems to be alot of "jaggies" or jagged edges in the graphics. For example, in Fight Night Round 3, there alot of them in the ropes. In NBA 2K7 they are all around and in Need for Speed Carbon you notice them in the cars. I am using a Vizio 37" HDTV that has 2 HDMI inputs. I have already adjusted the display settings to "1080i" which is the highest my tv will go. Does anyone know how to fix these or is that just how PS3 graphics are?

It's also visible in the PlayStation 2 and other video game platforms, it's caused by video games displayed in high resolution but they don't apply anti-aliasing to blur the lines.

The jaggies become more visible if the display resolution become more higher.

If you want to make the jaggies become less visible, I suggest you lowered down the resolution of your display. You could also set your display to low contrast or low brightness or set its image sharpness to low or even on interlace instead of progressive.

Heck, if your display can do anti-aliasing on its own, that would be even better.

checks have shown that the PS3 and the XBOX360 are in a ineffective warmth in terms of graphical comprehend-how. and prefer some people have pronounced right here, all of it comes all the way down to the guy game developer to wonderful song the seen overall performance, and extract the main from the hardware. maximum bypass platform video games are made on the XBOX360 and then are ported over to the PS3. yet on account that those video games are adapted to the 360 chip set, they many times would desire to nip, and tuck the visuals on the PS3 so as to get the sport to run good on that equipment. however the loss in seen high quality on the PS3 is so negligible which you will possibly would desire to place 2 television gadgets element by ability of element with a similar show settings so as to even tell a distinction. (or perhaps then reckoning on the sport you will possibly no longer tell a distinction.) If a game looks greater advantageous on one equipment or the different nevertheless, it incredibly is often the builders that have led to one version to look greater advantageous then the different. no longer the equipment that is self. The specs that we are leaked to Microsoft from an marketplace insider confirmed what became in truth the finalized specs for what the PS3 might have in that is totally final chip set. So Microsoft made beneficial that as quickly as the Xbox360 got here out in 2005 that it may be waiting to verify the PS3 in ability. and since the XBOX360 became better alongside in progression, Microsoft became waiting to launch a equipment with the ability of the PS3 in 2005. (an entire year earlier the PS3 got here out) only think of! The XBOX360 became initially in basic terms meant to be a million/2 as effective because it became out to be. it incredibly is a marvelous concern that those PS3 specs leaked. It additionally made the Gears of conflict team chuffed because of the fact they needed the 360 to have 512MB of substantial equipment reminiscence, instead of what's became approximately to finally finally end up with which became 256MB of ram. (the unique XBOX in assessment, had 64MB of substantial equipment reminiscence.)

I haven't noticed that. I have NFS carbon and I don't have that problem. I have a 40 inch Sony Wega Flat panel LCD and have no problems at all. I would assume it is a in game flaw if you made all of the necessary adjustments.

I haven't noticed that. My T.V. is 60" and it looks perfect (nobody's perfect, but it's close). Mabe when they made the game they messed up. Remember: that's not Sonys fault. It's the people that made the game's fault. Or it's your eyes fault. LOL
