Present? Like you're witnessing what you're doing, but you can't control it? If it's not MPD then what could it be?

Don't hold me to this, but I am pretty sure that is possible. I think that if you are aware, it normally means your are strating to integrate. It is actually called D.I.D- Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Go to http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/multiple-personality-disorder it has tons of info about it.

Good luck. Hope you get/are well. :)

First off, there is no one shoe that fits all MPs. There are many variations on the theme.

Of course it is possible to have one self monitoring the activities of another without taking any executive control. (By the way, the term MPD was replaced by DID [Dissociative Identity Disorder] in 1982.) The monitoring self usually acutely feels the loss of control and is not pleased.

The dynamics among the various selves in the world of a DID are many and convoluted. As I said, no one shoe fits all.

I had a girlfriend that would talk to each personality when she had an emotional outbreak or a mental brain fart. So it is common yes to have alter ego's come out to play at the same time.

You are both of those "people".

When one persona is active, the other is not active, but still conscious. The persona that is inactive is comparable to a dream. You know it is happening, but most of the time you can't do anything to control it.
