When I rip a CD onto I Tunes, there is a function where I can increase the volume of the song so that when I play it on my I Pod it sounds louder (for older CDs that didn't have great sound quality)...so could I create a playlist and boost the volume on all of the songs so that they are louder when I burn a CD for my car?

I very much doubt it. I'm pretty sure that the playback adjustment is just for playback in iTunes and on iPods. If you really want to adjust the volume, you'll need to change the line level, which can be done with MP3Gain, a free applet. Make sure to get the AACGain version as well, if you plan to adjust songs with the M4A file extension (like those purchased through the iTunes store).

no. it won't change or get louder. it may help the quality of the sound but not the volume. the ipod has the ability to adjust the volume level and basically digitally enhancing the quality of play but it's not reverseable and won't do a thing for your cds volume wise anyways. hope that helps.

you should apply a software that has a "Normalize" function. This unearths the loudest aspect of the music, and will strengthen the quantity so that's on the 0db reduce (to lead away from clipping, besides as to practice the quantity of the music). Nero is a software i know that has this function. there may nicely be others.
