I've not heard this question phrases in this manner. I don't know for sure if I'm answering your question. I think of economic security in the macro perspective where a nation can deal with its scarcity issues effectively. I think of social security as a way of providing financial back up to people based upon a need, i.e. retirement. Physical security is protection and well being. They all go hand in hand on some levels but they are all major topics in their own right.

The term is more relevant in a larger context say a nation striving towards economic security, than for a individual or a family.It broadly refers to the economic status in the present & future context & can include factors like economic inflows & outflows, savings & liabilities etc.Just as everything hovers about money ( read economic security) so one is definitely more secure physically & socially, if u r economically strong.
