Although I normally don't cry while watching anime/movies/films, there are a few anime that got to me.

The first one to do so was Fushigi Yuugi. When some of the main characters died, it was so sad. They had special music (character songs) that made it seem more dramatic, and it was unexpected that those main characters would die, so it was pretty sad. But the most in Fushigi Yuugi would be in the 2nd OVA. Was very touching. One of the seishi that had died was the emperor, and he died before his wife gave birth to his son. So he was a spirit watching them and seeing how misirable they were without him. His son, although he was a few years old, wouldn't speak a word, no matter how much they tried. Then while the rest of the cast was visiting. Boshin (his son) was somehow able to see his dads ghost and said "papa" and ran to him to hug him, but he went through the ghost and landed on the ground and cried. Then Hotohori (the deceased emperor cried) .. was too sad T^T.

Grave of the Fireflies and Barefoot Gen also made me cry. Mainly because they were based off real accounts of people during world war 2 and it was very sad to see the hardships people had to face and how really bad it was for them to survive, especially the children who lost their parents.

Hm.. Well a couple years ago when i was a huge pokemon fan, i cried when Misty, Brock and Ash left eachother. It was a sad moment, i was REALLY sad that time. But thats a stupid reason to cry :P Um not alot of anime had made me cry becuase they dont have the same effect as shows starring real people. Though most have made me CLOSE to crying! Such as in Naruto when Kiba's beloved dog Akamaru turn into a monster and was destorying everything. Then kiba went really sad cause of how much he tried taking care of Akamaru, how much he cared for him and then akamaru tries to kill kiba. (of course, he doesnt end up dying, akamaru was fighting against a poison and he had to basically injure himself majorly in order to stop the poison) very complicated story line.
I hardly cry becuase of shows though. The only movie i've cried to was called Fluke, but thats it.

Of course Grave of the Fireflies got to me

Other than that, a lot of the One Piece flashbacks made me cry a little. It's just moving to see what each of the characters carries and fights for (Especially Chopper's and Noland/Kalgara(SP?))

i thought it was sad from fullmetal alchemist when hughes died, because his daughter didn't undersatnd that he was dead, also i thought it was sad in wolfs rain when the kid was shot by his owner/grandfather. because he wanted to save that other guy. and last is negima, when asuna just dies for no reason,( until they explain it) and all of the student are crying like no toher. i would also say chron, fro chrono crusade, but i was at a con, with greg ayres, ( does chrono's voice) and some girl asked him what he thought about chrono dieing, and 3/4 of the croud didn't know that, and she ended up crying, so it was actually kind of funny.

Hmm, I admit there have been a couple. My first anime was "Fushigi Yuugi". Having been raised on American cartoons, I certainly didn't expect a main character to die so when Nuriko bought it I was pretty upset. I also cried when Herr Grimmer died in "Monster" and at the end of "Emma", when Emma concedes defeat to class-obsessed Victorian society and leaves William to go back to her hometown.

Got teary-eyed twice watching Naruto. The first time was during Naruto's interaction with Zabuza where Zabuza realized that Haku meant a lot to him. The other was during the Third's funeral. Iruka's flashback was touching and really wrapped up what Sarutobi was talking about during his battle with Orochimaru.

Ayashi No Ceres did. Grave of the Fireflies....if you don't cry at that movie something is wrong with you! Parts of Fushigi Yuugi did, when characters died. There are others I'm sure...but I am a big crybaby when it comes to movies.
