pretty sure he stopped wrestling because he got really popular and he can make way more money acting without getting hit in the head with a folding chair every 5 minutes.

Because he's been the only professional wrestler to actually make it in hollywood as a lead star. Hogan got very close, but never really had a breakout hit. Jesse Ventura only got/gets supporting parts. Other then that, many have tried, including Triple H and Stone Cold, and they have failed. Those 2 just don't have the acting chops and timing that the rock has. Sure they can cut a funny promo, but truly acting is a whole nother ball game. The Rock can do it, is making a ton of money, and is doing it. Besides, who could keep track on when the Rock was a good or bad guy anyway, he's got to be the ultimate flip flopper of all time.

all of you are true except him "having a special contract." None of those wrestlers have a special contract. Hogan only appears because of the money. Stone Cold only appears because of the money. Same with the Rock. And yes, he did leave cuz he can make 10 times the amount of money filming one movie than he did wrestling for one year!

Rock is not coming back. He stopped wrestling so he could go into movies where he can make far gr8ter money and have a much lesser chance of getting injured.

The Rock didn't stop wrestling, he still has a contract but a special kind of contract like stone cold and hulk hogan have where he appears in certain storylines

i think the reason is pretty obvious. the rock just doesnt have the passion for the business where as u have wrestlers that truly do( HHH, HBK, Undertaker) . besides he could make a lot more money doing movies than he could in wrestling even though most of his movies suck in my opinion.
