If you can't go to a web site, presuming you can go to others, either the site is down, or you have something on your system or network is blocking you from going to that site. To tell you more, I'd need to know the name of the site. You might ask someone else to try the site to see if THEY can get to it. If they can't either, then it's probably down; if they can get to it but you can't, then there is something like a firewall, popup blocker, or browser setting that's getting in your way.

you may need to disable and enable your internet connection. you can do this by clicking on the icon on your bottom right toolbar in your computer desktop. it may have a pic of a computer or two computer beside eachother, maybe with a little red between them or a globe. when you roll over it it should say: Connected To: Your Name and then something about your access or connection. double click it. you should then be brought to a window that has a few clickable icons in it, a local connection and a wireless one. whichever one you are currently connected to[it should tell you], right click the icon, and click on "disable". then, the window will probably go away or refresh. next, right click on the same one and "enable" it. your internet then may be refreshed. after you try to go on the internet, it may take a couple tries for typing in an adress to work. if this doesnt work you may need to refresh your internet by unplugging and plugging a certain cable cord from your surfboard. you could call your internet provider for more details on that. technology can be very confusing and quite frankly i think it was WAYY better in the "olden days"!! i now have vista, its torture. but anyway good luck i hope you can figure it out.

i think of your bandwidth, equates to the size of the faucet and volume of water which could get via, is merely too small. Then this methodology does not get an accomplished answer in a defined volume of time. 2 treatments. one million. Set the waiting time for longer, or 2. Get an even bigger bandwidth (faucet)

I had the same problem. I was told that my security program was blocking access. Once I removed the security program and replaced it with avast.com Home version it was fine.

You are not online. Try these things:
Make sure the ethernet cable is plugged in securely.
Turn your cable modem off, then turn it back on again after one minute.
