My parents dont trust my best friend n think that she is a bad influence. No matter what I do it wont change their opinions of her and they dont even know her. They were so quick to judge her. My best friend n I thought it would be really cool if we did something different. U kno some ppl buy things that say best friends n each person gets one, well we thought it would be cool to do that but wear necklaces with our initials. My parents asked what it meant they saw it but I told them it was something different. They found out the truth and freaked cuz I lied about it :/ I have no idea what I should do cuz we arent gonna stop being best friends.

I know it might hurt you that your parents don't like your best friend, but there is a reason for everything. It could be the way she dresses, what they might have seen her do when you are not around, or her reputation, maybe even if they know her parents. Those are not good reasons but parents are old school and believe in the saying birds of a feather flock together. If you and your parents have a good relationship you should sit them down and ask them why they feel the way they do. But always remember your parents will always be there for you, friends come and go.

How old are you , if Ur a teen then you should play save. No one will care for your life ultimately and completely except Urself - trust me in this. Just leverage and focus evenly on everything and dont lean too much over Ur parents control or get over influenced by ur friend. Set Ur own pace, identity , priciples and goal - then make any dicision in ur life base on these self constitution, U can never ever make the wrong move.

I never seen anyman I knew here without self principles who actualy made it to the top - simply because they cant make the right dicision.

once you have Ur own principles - it will guide U, what ever decision - make it base on if what U'll do wiil contribute to what Ur aim and principle is or dont do it

Well dear, thats a tough one!! But ok i can try to answer this. See i dont know what your parents saw in ur best friend that they freaked out and they just hate her for soemthing?? ONly you can tell !! See she is your friend and its totally upto you what you wanna do with your frieindship. No body can influence you when it comes to making new freinds.. so if you ask me, if you think she is your best friend but your parents dont like her, dont leave her just for that reason. its your decision to make friendsand you should keep ur freinds together no matter what. And in many cases only ur friends will help u out not ur parents... so think about it. Life me dost milna itna asaaan nahi hai..
but yeah it would be easier to judge your parents if you tell me what kind of background u have and what kind of a freind you have.. is she a party goer?/ wears skimpy clothes.. lots of parents dont like that .. so if you could b precise abt it..
wish u luck..
keep in touch

Friendship is the one which we get from proper understanding. Friendship will not stop if u don't have contact or speak with each other. It is similar to that of the feeling of love which have some basic difference. If u feel that ur friend is worthwhile just ask your parents y they hate your friend. But before asking ur parents about it u first think y u selected him/her as ur friend. Analyse whether u considered him/her as ur friend in certain situation or due to proper understanding. If u have selected him/her due to proper understanding then ask ur parents y they hate ur friend. If their reason is acceptable then act according to that. If u are not satisfactory then make ur parents to understand ur friendship. Please don't tell lies to ur parents. Every negative act of urs will still blame ur friendship still more worse. So try to satisfy ur parents regarding your friendship becoz they are the one who care u more than others including ur friends.

the necklaces I assume was yours had her initials and hers had your initials. It made you "look" like a lesbian couple regardless of how you interpreted it.I dont know your friend.Your parents probably do and parents judge usually on facts and what direction your friends are headed. The fact that you lied to them is reasonable for them being p-o'd.Does your friend get into trouble/Sneak and do things behind her parents back they dont wnat her doing? If so, whatever troubles she has, you will have also.Is she a straight a student?Stays out of trouble?I dont think your parents would object to someone like that. Why?Because they DO love you and dont want you to be in trouble.

if you are best friends and really care about each other, then listen to your parents. just think over that the faults they make out in your friend are true or not. if they are right, tell them about her good qualities. if even that doesn't work, then you should not meet your friend in the presence of your parents. i knoe it is not a genuine advice but i would have done the same thing

well you have to tell your parents that shes your best friend and even if she is a bad influence you won't ever follow her example again. I have a friend that my mom doesn't like but i told her shes my friend and i have a choice of who my friends are. What I'm trying to say here is you have to be honest with your parents and tell them you have your own choices.

i must say
family is much more important than friendship
your parents know what is right and what is wrong
they can see through the mist while you are still hidden behind it
trust them
and move on
youll find more great friends
dont have just one best friend
have a lot
so your parents can kinda choose in the end

The same thing happened to me and my best friend b4 (except we didn't have necklaces'). My best friend got bad grades, her parents blamed it on me, I got a bad attitude, and my parents blamed it on her. Hmm...Well turns out, my 'best friend' told my parents that I made her get bad grades...Please I get A's & B's and she gets C's and D's...

Well, act depressed that you're not with your best friend. Maybe your parents will be worried about you, and change their minds...

Think wat's the positives u have seen on ur best frnd? then find out the negatives of the frnd which will influence u? if the positives are more try to convince ur guardians and try to find out the reasons for her negative points. it may due to personal or family situation. try to help her, come out from that situations. If ur frnd have more negatives ur guidance will help to com out frm that.
So try to convince ur frind about her/his positives and negatives, and its results. then definitely she/he will change the mind and will come to the good side.
