Lounge:
a place for sitting, waiting, smoking, etc., esp. a large public room, as in a hotel, theater, or air terminal, often with adjoining washrooms.
a section on a train, plane, or ship having various club or social facilities.

waiting room:
Queue areas are areas in which people queue (first-come, first-served), that is they wait in line for something. i don't think there is one. it's just what you call it. like "living room" and "den". no real difference
