For the past two days I have had a very weird pain in my thigh. It feels sort of tingly and is painful when I take a step on that leg. There are no visible signs of anything being wrong and I was wondering if this could be a blood clot. My sister had Factor V Leiden (causes blood clots) and it is hereditary. Also, I am pregnant and I know that increases the risk. Has anyone ever had a clot in their leg? What did it feel and look like?

If you are pregnant and have a family history of clotting disorder, you should get checked. It may be easier to go to the ER, because your doctor can't tell if it is a blood clot without a special ultrasound test which he/she doesn't have in the office and they would have to send you off to the hospital to get the ultrasound anyway.

Signs of blood clot are usually pain, swelling mostly. It is generally only on one side. The tingling isn't that common of a clot symptom, and it could simply be a nerve getting pinched due to the pregnancy. Still, pregnancy is not a time to blow off symptoms.

could it just be a cramp? iask 'cause a have a dvt blood clot, that i got after i had surgery on my leg, on my return visit to the dr(who did the surgery) he examined my leg and squeezed my calf and i immediately felt the pain, that's been 6 months ago, i still have the clot, and what i feel from x2x is some pinching sensation, some swelling and some hot&cold feelings, so if this info helps u o.k., if not and ur still concerned then u might want to seek professional help

See a Dr. You sound like a very high risk for a clot. Don't rub your thigh. Check for warmth or redness. There is no way to be sure without seeing a dr and having a few tests. Don't wait.

No, I never had one. But some of the symptoms are pain in the calf muscle, swelling of the lower leg, the leg feeling hot, and changes in skin color.

The calf becomes reddened, swollen, tender and has increased temperature.

With your family history and pregnancy I would consult a doctor

Well I never had one. My farther did. I worked around people that has them. Is your leg swollen? Has it changed any color. And very painful.Well try eating calcium. For pregnant women they legs tend to hurt when calcium is deficiency. Try that and see what it does. Go to your O.B.G.Y.N. & see what he says.
