This question has been plagueing me for years. Its like, is there a higher being that can hear our thoughts, are there really mind reading people? im not really giving credit to my question with these ideas, share some of yours!

Some persons who are schizophrenic believe their thoughts are being stolen from them, that some outside other being not only can hear their thoughts, but can also broadcast those thoughts to any number of persons who then also can hear them.
Of course, this is not the answer for which you are looking; I just thought it would be an interesting aside.
It remains, however, that occasionally we do come across a person who actually can "read" or "hear" one's thoughts. Oftentimes it is said that such persons have precognition. This is a rare phenonomenon. When one person can hear the thoughts of another, usually what is heard is vague and muddled, but the gist remains.
How can this be? As far as I know, no one knows. My favorite psychiatrist simply states that the human mind is capable of much more than we realize.
I'm sorry I could not be more precise. I'll be interested in reading posts from others on this question.

Don't Believe that others cant read your mind. in fact certain people are able to read you like a book.On a small occasion I tend to have a lender voice, that others usually start talking about something that i was just a second before the converstion starts. i am not crazy.!!!! and i just figure it to be others are in such close quarters and share many of the same opinions on things that perhaps we mostly think a like ... i do like to have fun with it at times and there have been times that i have lots of fun with this. . maybe i have it wrong. perhaps i can read their thoughts. who knows. i believe that there is so much we haven't discovered on what our brain can actually do. My son and i actually finish our sentences at the same time and usually say the same things at the same time. it has always been strange. but i feel we are connected on a different level.....

It's a necessity that we have the ability to think first. If we didn't have independent thoughts we would be instinctual animals with drives not beliefs. We would be important to each other for the simple instinctual drive to reproduce.
You can call it Gods give to humans if you wish. What it is though is the ability to grow beyond the basic animal. Many animals have thoughts but many are purely instinctual and without this ability we would be like a single celled organisms.

This is like trying to be "in someone's shoes". The reason that we can not "hear" other people's thoughts is that our minds are isolated from other minds through a physical interface, that is, our bodies separate our minds from each other. Because we each have our own perspective and view of the world, we can never experience the same thing as another person, and thus we can never be in their shoes, but we can try to understand what they are feeling and thinking based on our own experiences and inferences based on the other person. Because our brains are not all commected, we can never know what another person is thinking, and thus, "hearing" other people's thoughts are impossible.

As individuals, I don't think that we would want other people to know everything that we are thinking. Heh, if they did, there would probably be a lot more fights, and a lot less friends, lol.
I do believe in God, so I know in my heart that He does hear everything that we are thinking.
Some people who claim to be able to read minds have been proven bogus. Some seem pretty real--but who knows? I would not want to be around someone who could actually do it.

Some people might not be able to read minds, but people can do what animals do. "Sense" the aura, emotional energy, that is projected by every living being.
Someone might not be able to hear EXACTLY what someone is thinking, but you get a clear view of what they are feeling. If they are feeling angry, you don't have to be a god to have an idea of what they are thinking.
"Sensing" someones aura gives insight into what people are feeling, their motives, and numerous other things.
No matter how well they can hide it on the outside, if there is someone who can sense auras, then you can't hide what you are feeling from them.
I guess, in a somewhat different sense, sensing someones aura CAN be a form of "mind-reading".
