Go to the doctor and get a blood test. The symptoms you describe could be a lot of things. [Don't know where the ice thing came from, I'm pretty sure it's a myth!]

If you are eating ice because you like it, big deal. Do you eat ice because of excessive thirst?? Blood sugars might be off. Eating ice because you absolutely crave it--condition called PICA. Tired, dizzy, ears ringing could be anemia, but not because you eat a lot of ice. Are your fingernail beds white instead of pink?? sign of anemia. Diabetic vs anemia, need blood test either way. If anemia, take iron tablets with orange juice, the vit c will help body absorb iron which helps body transfer oxygen throughout body. If thyroid, hyper (too much) symptoms would be hot, sweaty, lots of energy, loss of weight, hypo (too little) cold, fatigue, dry skin, weight gain. No matter how you slice it, you need blood test from doctor.
Hope this was helpful. Good luck. Nurse.

It is possible to be anemic. Do you have heavy periods or do you eat poorly? are you pregnant? There are lots of questions that need to be answered so you should see your doctor. He can do a simple finger stick hemoglobin test to see if you are anemic. He will let you know right then and prescribe some iron supplements. Make and appointment as soon as possible. good luck

You need a Doctor I always heard ice chewing was calcium deficiency, don't be scared either way anemia & calcium def. are both easily cleared up you just take the vitamins. I was anemic when I was a teenager,,fine now, anyways most menstruating women need to take iron every month as we loose alot of blood when that happens.
Eat red meat(steaks) or veggies high in iron when your period is on along with the vitamins.

Please be very careful. You should definitely go to a doctor.

It is true that craving ice is very weird but put together with dizziness, ringing in the ears and the chronic lack of energy, it is most definitely a symptom of anemia.

You could very well be anemic but the only way to find out is to see a doc and get this checked out.

I'd say you should have your thyroid checked. If you were anemic you'd be graving foods rich in iron. (red meat)
