Probably not, but there are adaptors available to match nearly any transmission to any engine. See Transdapt for details.

Mustang GT's in person-friendly words comprise the 4.8 liter V8's, a minimum of the present ones if I keep in mind properly. The V stands for the configuration of the cylinders, as in V structure, and the volume denotes the shape of cylinders. V6 has 6 cylinders in a V structure, and V8 has 8 in a V structure. There are also I3/I4/I6, V10/V12, and so on. even if the V6 isn't a GT. do not mess with it.

5.8... is that a Ford 351? If so, I may have that bellhousing lying in my backyard... Hm.
