No, there is no way unless you get a second phone line. Although it may not seem like a big deal, you really should get high speed internet instead of dial up. It's much faster. DSL is cheaper than cable, but cable is faster. High speed is definately worth the extra money.

I have dial up also, dsl is not available in BFE...lol. I am still able to recieve calls through internet call waiting, you have the choice to answer the call, ignore, or play a message (i will call you back or call me back.) It is great to be able to be online yet not miss an important phone call.

There used to something called Callwave. It would show up when someone was trying to call etc. Check on the inet for it.

yes, there are a couple of small hardware idems you can use, check a local pc shop, they'll steer you right. between $25 and $45 i believe as long as you have call waiting.

no, but if you get DSL, you can use your phone and be online at the same time...Plus you'll have 50x faster connection speed. downside is it costs a bit more.

you would have to transfer to cable and you cab still keep AOL to if you pay AOL by cc it's cheaper
