if you're singing a specific song, take it SLOWLY and play it on the piano (or just listen by ear)... start and stop the song and make sure each note is placed in the right spot. :D good luck!!!

It sounds like either your voice is sore or your voice is changing. Most directors will be very understanding if you say that your voice is changing or if you have a cold. They will either have you try out at a different time when your voice goes back to normal or take your circumstances in to consideration and won't judge you to hard on that certain aspect, but will look even harder at other elements, such as your experience and work ethic. Directors really like it if you have a lot of discipline and a good work ethic. Just give the audition all you can, that is all that the directors expect from you. If you don't make it in, it probably wasn't meant to be and you can start practicing for the next tryout. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! Good luck at your audtion.
P.S. if your voice is sore, try drinking hot water with some lemon and honey in it, that always works for my. Don't put in to much honey or lemon. I would only put in about 4 drops of honey in and stir it in with the lemon juice

You are not focusing on your singing. You are feeling the stress of the audition and allowing that to take your focus off of singing, maybe not intentionally, but it is distracting you to the point of messing up your tonality. Do some relaxing breathing and stretching and don't try to sing until you have gotten your mind and body loosened up. Do your warm up vocalizing in a soft centered head tone with the focus on your forehead, dead center, like the cyclops eye, looking out from inside your head. Do whatever you need to do to picture the sound not coming from out of your mouth, but up and out of the center of your forehead. You can raise your eyebrows and lower your chin slightly. It might help to raise your arms above your head or stick something small in the middle of your forehead. My teacher used to put her finger there and press gently with " vibrato" wiggling her finger where she touched my head. It will help you keep the tone in your head and off of your throat, which is probably what is making you go flat. Think the tones in your head and try to feel as if it is all coming from the "cyclops" eye center, up from the diaphragm to the center of your head. You need to focus there and not on all the hype before the audition. I hope you do well and dazzle them with song! I'll be here pulling for you! Good luck!

have you had a cold or a runny nose. If so have your hearing checked to make sure there isn't fluid in your ears that could be affecting you and relax you earned the audition so make it yours and have fun. Best of luck.

Scream for a half hour, then get plenty of rest. I'm NOT kidding this time. I am a singer, and when your voice starts to give up, work the d@mn thing.

Drink hot lemon tea. No sugar nor milk. Also try slippery elm that helps out a lot. It loosens up mucus and other things. I hope this help.

Are you congested? Sometimes congestion can throw your inner ear out of whack, and cause inaccurate pitch. See a doctor.
